I do not have a projector anymore and I do not know the contents of my reels. What can I do ?

As you are unable to determine the quality and the relevance of the movies on your reels. We provide you with an 8mm projector so you can watch your movies quietly at home. Please contact our scanning service that will inform you on the subject.

What should I do before sending my reels ?

You should number each reel in the order of your choice and fill out the order formThen you just have to attach a copy of the form with your reels carefully packed in a parcel.

To send my parcel wisely, what sending service should I take ?

Sending your parcel by Signature service is the minimum required. Meaning :

Are my films damaged or destroyed during the scan?

Not, quite to the contrary. Your films are cleaned and a film leader is added to the beginning of your film. Defective splices are replaced.

What services are included in the price of digitalization ?

How many reels of film can I put on a dvd ?

We’re limiting the capacity of a dvd to 90 minutes to insure the best quality. It represents approximately 360 meters of 8mm film per DVD.

What is the differents between a DVD transfer and an HD transfer ?

The HD transfer allows low compressed video, which can be easily edited with an video editing software, such as iMovie, Window Movie Maker or Pinnacle Studio.

Where can I get an HD and with what capacity ?

Which format is the best adapted for a HD transfer ?

There is two majors video formats : Quicktime for Mac and AVI for Microsoft. So basicaly it depends of your operating system or your video editing software. You can ask for other formats if necessary.

I do not want the whole reel to be digitalized.

We can do it, but the total length of the reel will be billed and only if the choosen sequence is evidently determined. If not, we will consider as a personal editing service, and will contact you for further notice.
